The Commission on Mathematical and Theoretical Crystallography (MaThCryst) of the International Union of Crystallography is organizing a school on mathematical crystallography in Nancy, France in June 2023. This school is the continuation of those organized in 2005, 2010 (two schools), and 2019.
The program is based on an in-depth analysis of crystallographic symmetry, with many exercises on the use of the International Tables for Crystallography and the Bilbao crystallographic server, as well as a day dedicated to the structure solution and refinement of crystal structures with Jana2020.
The speakers are :
- Mois Aroyo, editor of Volume A of the International Tables of Crystallography and co-developer of the crystallographic server of the Bilbao crystallographic server;
- Michal Dušek, co-developer of Jana2020;
- Massimo Nespolo, founder of the MaThCryst commission.
