A call is open for the assignment of grants from the funds of the “Women in Crystallography” Fundraising project, to attend meetings (congresses, schools) of crystallographic interest.
The grant is for a maximum of 500 € to help cover expenses (registration fee, travel expenses, accommodation, etc.) depending on the budget plan provided by the candidate.
Applications will be considered three times a year, with deadlines of 31st January, 31st May and 30th September. Alternatively, the request can be sent (at least) 3 months prior to the beginning of the event.
The eligible candidate must be an Early Career young female scientist working in the field of crystallography or starting her career in this area. Early Career scientists are graduate students, postgraduate students, postdoctoral fellows, or within seven (7) years of receiving a graduate degree.
To be considered for support, the candidate must send a short CV (not more than 250 words) with a list of publications and a letter from a tutor/supervisor to support the request, together with the completed application form.
Preference will be given to Early Career scientists from developing countries, particularly, but not limited to, Latin America, Africa and South-East Asia.
