6th MACSMIN (Mathematics and Computer Science for Materials Innovation)

MACSMIN 2025 is the satellite of the ECM35 (European Crystallographic Meeting) and the 6th annual conference of the series Mathematics and Computer Science for Materials Innovation (https://kurlin.org/macsmin.php). The meeting is hybrid with all talks running also on zoom.

Following the MACSMIN tradition since 2020, the 6th MACSMIN will present a number of scientific advances, including (1) a final hierarchy of structural invariants (of periodic crystals, rigid molecular conformations, and protein backbones) from the ultra-fast to complete with polynomial-time metrics, which exposed numerous exact and many more near-duplicates in the major databases such as the CSD, COD, ICSD, Materials Project, Google’s GNoME, and PDB; and (2) three principles of Atomic Geometry aiming to determine all chemistry from the precise enough geometry.
