Following the success of the first YCM held in Strasbourg in 2023 (YCM1), this event was born from the desire to bring together the community of young scientists directly or indirectly involved in crystallography, in all its diversity. It is therefore primarily aimed at young scientists — PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, scientists, and engineers — from all disciplines united by their use of crystallography in their research.
YCM2 will highlight the multidisciplinary character of crystallography, through sessions featuring contributions in biology, chemistry, physics, mineralogy, and heritage science.
The main objectives of the meeting are:
-
to bring together young European crystallographers in a stimulating and international scientific environment,
-
to promote interdisciplinary exchanges and peer-to-peer discussions,
-
to create networking opportunities with both academia and industry.
