The Executive Committee of the European Crystallographic Association expresses full support for the views outlined by the American Crystallographic Association last week in IUCr Newsletter (33, 2, 2025).
Crystallography stands for interdisciplinary exploration that surpasses political and national borders with the goal to deepen our comprehension of the world surrounding us. Policies that promote science by open collaboration and equitable access to education and research opportunities are crucial for global progress. Scientific excellence, integrity, inclusivity, and the free exchange of knowledge are the corner stones of these policies.
