The ECA has signed a petition to the EU to encourage an ambitious research and innovation policy, engaging society as a whole, which would represents a large European added value, and will be decisive in increasing its cohesiveness.

The petition is promoted by ISE, Initiative for Science in Europe, of which ECA is a member.

UH leads the Macromolecular Structure and Interaction laboratory at the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine in Berlin. His research interests in structural biology cover the structural basis of gene expression control, of intracellular protein trafficking and sorting, and of protein-carbohydrate interactions.
